Like camping chairs? If that's what your talking about get a nicer sturdy one that is extra wide. They're much more comfortable. They are a little more expensive however they last MUCH longer!

About 10 years ago a lady at a flea market was selling the old style aluminum chairs with her own custom woven designs. My wife surprised me by having this made, even matching my Liberty Blue!
I'm sure something like this could be put together although they aren't the most comfortable things.

I prefer the Director's Chair style, and definitely in aluminum. Last one I purchased was from Costco and was around $25. One before that was from somewhere else and was made from steel tubing, and the weight was about equal to two aluminum framed chairs. I've found these chairs remain comfortable much longer than the less supportive X-frame chairs, and the director's chairs are a lot easier to get out of for old farts. I like attached shade, but purchase them separately like this one: Umbrella

As a 35+ year veteran of car shows, I have tried many styles of folding chair. Recently replaced my old one with what had turned out to be my favorite. I especially wanted a chair that had a recline feature and a tall back since I'm 6 ft 2 in. Kept searching on line until I found one made by Picnic Time available via Wal Mart web site. It actually was available in various places, but Wal Mart had best price. Not cheap at about $70, but it has three different recline positions and a relatively tall back. This is a "bag chair". It is bulkier than cheaper bag type chairs, but I find it very comfortable.
