Tom, this one has the exact drivers you cited same order, it is Famous Birthdays. Does this look like the site you quoted from?
Link :http://www.famousbirthdays.com/profe...cardriver.html The first link I posted is how they arrive at their "Celebrity Status". How their boost button works, etc. FYI I googled "Most Famous Race Car Drivers" and arrived at that site. That site has the exact same drivers in the same order you quoted from. I apologize if it's not the same site, however having the top 10 in the same order of your post seems more than coincidental. I then researched on how they arrive at their listings and order. That was the first link, the second link is the actual list.

You really should stop trolling after me. Every time you do it you just embarrass yourself. See your claims about Papa John's Camaro on that thread... ![]() I asked for the source of the info as I want to be able to see it so I can understand what the how and why they were ranked that way. It's been nearly 24 hours since I questioned the source. Tom has made 5 posts and has yet to let us know where he found that info. All he has done is claim his info is factual, but has refused to give us a link and has claimed that Brad's source (that just happens to have the exact same info Tom posted) is not where he found it. If it is a site like Brad found, basing popularity on internet voting generates results like the All Star voting in the most recent MLB All Star game. |

Notice that her racing income is the lowest of all those listed and her endorsements are more than her racing income. If you want to see what her earnings based on racing performance in 2015 are, check out this link: http://espn.go.com/rpm/standings It shows that Danica is 22nd in points and has purse earnings of only $2,727,314 while driving for one of the best teams in NASCAR. But interestingly enough, 2nd and 3rd tier team drivers behind Danica in points have higher earnings: 23 AJ Allmendinger $3,154,466 24 Casey Mears $3,025,678 25 David Ragan $3,118,638 26 Sam Hornish Jr. $2,992,663 27 Tony Stewart $3,026,387 28 Trevor Bayne $3,268,260 |

One of the things that professionals in that area want when you make claims is valid data backing it up. You claimed earlier - your list was about popularity - not money. You claimed she is one of the most popular race car drivers in the WORLD. So show us your data that puts Danica so high in popularity. If you can't produce a source, then we have every right to question your claim. |

I myself do not understand how a no talent driver like Danica gets all the media coverage. It is only because she is a female, that some find attractive (I personally do not) and the media has got her so hyped up, that they try to make you believe she is really that good. There are many other female drivers that have so much more talent than Danica has, but they do not have the media behind them, so you don't here anything about them. I guess that is why I do not drink the Kool-Aid they put out, and I try to look at people and appreciate their skill level, not the hype.
I also see since Danica has made it on the Nascar scene, that interest in Nascar is dropping quickly, and a lot of people really quit following it like they did 4-5 years ago. People are getting tired of the artificial hype Nascar is putting out. |

Same method of rating "Greatness" status, internet hits, taken right off of the script below the video:
Quote:
![]() Almost 4 years into your current venue with top equipment and you haven't won a race yet? Your average finish is around 25th. Sorry, been around motorsports all my life and "Top 10 Greatest" isn't a mediocre, low talent, middle of the pack driver. 105 races, 6 top tens in 4 years, no wins, average starting position 26.2 average, finishing position 24.6. The stats don't qualify her as greatest, but internet hits do, LMAO. I just looked up her stats so I just pushed her further into greatness, pretty scientific I guess....

Realize Champ that your attacks on Tom for his posts do nothing to hurt his credibility here but continue to hurt yours.
That being said, last time I checked, dividing zero by two still leaves you with zero.

One thing is for sure. Those on this site who have kept this thread going have created a venue that has generated more than 2,200 posts and 44,000 views that keep her name right up front. It is like the old saying "I don't care WHAT you say about me; just say SOMETHING". If Danica knows about this thread I'm sure she is pleased as punch.

Since I doubt that there is anyone on this board that has raced with women on a closed course excluding a drag strip, yes I do pay attention because of the preferential treatment females get by most any racing organization, sponsor, etc. They have a fan base and support financially and in other areas just by their gender alone. Male drivers are judged almost solely by their performance on the track, not their gender. IMO this is reverse discrimination that a minority (in racing) gets special treatment by media, and all the other entities involved. Talent as a driver takes a backseat, and gender is first and foremost.
If they run on a level playing field I have no problem with it, problem is the cards are stacked in TPs favor as soon as she appears on the NASCAR scene just by gender. Not only is she a second rate driver she has caused numerous wrecks by poor judgement, trying to retaliate for a perceived slighting. One of the times she was after revenge there is a radio transmission from her boss saying if she didn't stop trying to wreck Sam Hornish he'd take her out himself. I'm a fan of equality, but it's a two way street, you want to be treated as an equal on track then you play by the same rules off track. Taking advantage of her gender for financial gains and preferential treatment by all entities involved in racing isn't how equality works. Take this example, suppose NASCAR is run by women and the majority of all drivers except one is female. A new male driver comes to NASCAR and is considered attractive to the members of all entities involved and is given a first rate ride with all the expenses involved in sponsorship taken care of by a big name sponsor. The driver in question has come from another racing series where in many years of competition stumbled on a win in a fuel mileage race. In 4 years he has no wins, most of the laps led are under caution and 6 top 10 finishes due mostly to attrition or bad luck by the other drivers. Average finish is right around 25th for 4 years running. Should this guy be rewarded with another multi year contract when sponsor number one takes a leave? Now bear in mind there are a dozen other female drivers much better qualified to sit in that first rate seat, but because of their gender are at a large disadvantage. Did I mention that the Waltrip sisters drool anytime this driver passes another car? Now bear in mind other women, much more qualified are struggling to just stay in a halfway decent ride. They far exceed the male driver in stats and talent, yet he gets all the breaks and passes because he is a male in a female dominated sport. Is there any hint of equality here? I doubt many of the other female drivers have a snowballs chance in hell to advance upward just based on their talents and not gender. If there is equality in NASCAR the touring princess would either be out the door, or running in a back marker, or a start and park ride. Since the gender card is being played over and over she gets a ride again for years more of a lackluster performance because of gender. In this day of political correctness and equality among the sexes this must be the most backward poor example of any equality in sports. When this happened in professional tennis years ago at least Billie Jean King was a top talent and trounced her detractor at the time, Bobby Riggs. I never see that happening in NASCAR with the TP. In the mean time a top notch car is funded to an undeserving driver because her gender. I don't make the decisions on keeping her in this ride, but if I was intent on having a female driver, there are a pool of much more talented women I could see in that car that would give the sponsor more exposure through winning or at least in the top 5 consistently plus having a woman driving the car, rather than seeing your name on a wrecked car being towed to the garage area. But life ain't fair, is it?
