Default Removing front bumper

Is it possible to remove the front bumper from car and leave the main brackets still attached to the frame rails. Just removing the bolts that attach the other brackets from the main bracket to the bumper itself?
May need to replace my condenser soon and I don't want to disturb the frame brackets as they were a pita to get just right.

Yes, you can remove it that way, but if you have hideaway lights you will
have to unbolt the light assemblies from the bumper and leave them hanging on the car
due to the pivot arm routed thru the holes in the bumper brackets. I've always thought that
the brackets should have a slot in the front of the hole so that the whole bumper could be removed with the headlight assemblies still attached.

W/hideaways the arm that passes thru bumper bracket is easily removed . 2 bolts and a clip per side.
