Default wheel "bodywork" filler question

Going to be refinishing my Rally 2's and after paint stripping them I expect to be filing and smoothing a bit. Anyone recommend a filler they used with long term success? Would I just use body filler.. like bondo for pits, dips and such on wheels? Don't want to be doing this twice.

Thanks

Deep pits with body filler and SEM makes a good High Build Primer in a rattle can....3-4 good coats will fill in a lot of imperfections...just let it flash 10-15 in between coats....a lot of people have no patience and pile 3-4 coats on in 5 minutes...and you trap a lot of solvent and then you have trouble...trust me ...been doing bodywork for the last 39 years..ain't much I haven't seen.
