Default alternatives to 68 post doors?

Few weeks ago all the sheetmetal and many other parts of my frame-off 68 LeMans were stolen - hood, fenders, doors, glass, ... I can now get everything new except the doors as this was a post coupe. It seems there are no parts for that, even not in bad condition and in the US (I am living in Germany).
Are there any alternatives to getting doors from another 68 post coupe? Can other doors be used here? Any ideas?

Thanks
Dan

theres nothing that interchanges..post doors only...for a post car...68 and 69..in 69 they moved the door loks knob..but thats easy to fix.

you can buy hardtop doors and put the post car stuff in them with a lot of fabrication. all 68-72 a-body post car doors, the frames glass etc is the same,so theres many more opportunities there..lemans, skylark cutlass and 68-69 chevelle doors from a post car, window frames and hardware, will swap in, theres welding etc..but ive done it...its a lot of work.

Thanks a lot for your help! I will check the option on Craigslist. If this doesn't help, this could be the end of my project. And somewhere somebody is sitting on my doors and cannot do anything with them...

i can find doors..no problem, it may take a little time, but i run onto them often. Question is...is it worth it to you to buy and have them shipped to you?

have seen them as low as 50 bux to 400..and condition is usually the value. If you like the car theres some one here than can probably help...post a wanted ad and make sure you let them know they need to be shipped to europe

Mark, I just posted a WTB.

There is not even the smallest chance to get those doors in Germany. So if I don't want to end my project, I will (have to) pay for shipping the doors here. I do have a contact who ships cars and parts from the US to Germany frequently - that could make it easier.

Sorry you are having to replace stolen parts.
Franks Pontiac Parts has a pair of 68's listed on his web site.

Frank is a pain in the a$$..if you push him at all hes done with you..but he has really nice stuff.

If it was me, id buy them from him and find a crating service to pick them up, and ship..theres people out there that do it you have to search..and hes on the coast so you save a bunch not shipping it across america.

Its a good start...but remember he's old and cranky...you have to be cautious

or find someone to walk in and pick them up. I have a friend in Cali..i will ask him if he wants to pick up and crate..im sure he'd be reasonable..you be prepared for the shipping side..you do all the work and im sure he would drop them at the terminal...hes a good guy

Huh I think I may have a pair of those if I did not scrap them, not fantastic but they were 68 post doors. I had them sitting out back on a pallet rack for years. I went through and scrapped a bunch of stuff this past summer, they may have gone with that, I never thought anyone would want em.
