I missed this Pontiac powered 3rd gen, at the Jegs. It qualified #14. It's driven by Greg Meyer, & has a 400 engine.

In SS, Bill Rink's '74 GTO looks like the highest qualified Pontiac powered car. Scott Burton is driving his 3rd gen GT. I don't know if any other SS cars have Pontiac power. If ya'll spot any, please post that info. Don't wanna leave anybody out.

Good luck to all the Pontiac powered racers !
Lindsey Cramsys won class today driving her boyfriend Micheal Brands car...LOL it was awesome to see Mike working his A$$ into the ground trying to find every extra .01 that car had in it....Lindsey drove her butt off and did a great job!
Congrats Lindsey on your first class win!

Also in class I saw Greg Meyers lose a heartbreaker to one of the Rampys in the final of there class. I friggin Love Greg's Super stocker deff one of my favorites!

Default Class Elims @ the Sportsnationals

I add my congrats to Lindsey, for her G/SA class win ! Hey, a 10.916 on a 12.00 index is a pretty decent run, huh ?

Several Pontiacs got a RU finish, in their class.

These include: Scott Burton--B/SA, Julie Biermann--E/SA, Bob Michael--K/SA, Bill Rink--SS/MA, Scott Burton--GT/GA, and, as mentioned, Greg Meyer--GT/HA.

A little shameless self promotion from the Maple Grove points race this weekend.

Just imagine what it'll do when I take out the TRW motor and put the good motor in ;-)

A little funny one from Bowling Green....we wereBSing in the pits and Someone asked how many Stockers are here? The answer was ALLLLL OF THEM LOL.

But glad to see someone was waving the Pontiac flag in Maple Grove!

It was great to make that 8.5hr drive to hangout with my Pontiac friends....I have no idea how Kenny did in S/ST but I was a 1st round duck that's why I'm posting this from the house.smh
Ken it was great talking with you while we watched the stock class finals!

Default Busy Weekend

There is a National event and 4 div races scheduled, this weekend. The big race is in New Hampshire. The only Pontiacs I see there, are the 1st gen Stockers driven by Randi Lyn Shipp and Adam Strang. Adam is qualified @ .912 under, & Randi Lyn is .876 under.

http://www.dragracecentral.com/DRCSt...UMMIT#indextop

The div races are in div 2, 3, 5, & 6.

Default Div 2 & 5

There are no Pontiacs on the Q-list at the div 2 race.

At the div 5 race, Scott Burton has both his B/SA & his GT/GA entered. In SS, Carrol Warling is entered with his SS/MA record holder. The Stocker list also shows a Norman Warling entered, with an L/SA '62 Pontiac. This brings 3 questions to mind. (1) What kin are Carrol & Norman ? (2) Is the '62 the same '62 GP combo that Bob Michael is running ? (3) Since Norman & Scott are both listed as living in Golden, CO, how involved is Scott with Norman's car--like maybe all 3 help each other ?

http://www.dragracecentral.com/DRCSt...r=100#indextop

http://www.dragracecentral.com/DRCSt...r=100#indextop

There is also a GT/AA '10 Chevy listed, driven by Robert Cruzen. Robert Cruzen's GT/AA 428 Pontiac powered car is usually listed as an '06 Cobalt. So, is this GT/AA '10 Chevy, Pontiac powered or Chevy powered ? Anybody have the lowdown on Rob Cruzen, Robert Cruzen, and their Super Stockers ? I'd like to get 'em all straight. Don't wanna put out bad info.

Default Div 6 & 3

Up at the div 6 race, Ryan Warter & Don Elgin are representing Pontiac power. Ryan qualified #1 @ over a second under his index.

http://www.dragracecentral.com/DRCSt...er=30#indextop

At the div 3 race, there are several Pontiac powered Stockers, with a little '74 GTO qualifying in the #5 position, and Don Turk's '74 GA #6. Greg Meyer is qualified #3 in SS, with his GT/GA '92 Bird.

They've had some weather delays at the div 3 race. But, here's a link to the live feed for today, anyhow.

First the 62 Catalina is a new build. Carroll is my Brother and has helped me with the Catalina. It is the same combination as Bob Michaels. I live about a mile from Scott Burton and we are good friends. I have helped my Brother with his car for a long time and decided I needed to build a car. You also missed a 1972 GTO at Great Bend Thank You for reporting I always read your post. Norman Warling

Hey, THANKS for the info Norman !

Yeah, I can see the '72 GTO on the Sat Q-list. The car was listed on Fri, but the '72 GTO part was missing. Reckin you could post some pics of your car and his, for us. In fact, any pics of the Pontiac powered cars at the race, would be appreciated. Thanks !

http://www.dragracecentral.com/DRCSt...r=100#indextop

Also, any details of your build, that you are willing to share, would be interesting. A lot of guys don't know what makes the Stockers tick.

And, I just noticed that the Sat SS Q-list shows 2 cars driven by Robert Cruzen. I assume this is a father & son. It would be great if you could check 'em out and see if the GT/AA car has Pontiac power.

Default Div 5

At the div 5 race, Scott Burton got RU in the Stock / SS combo race. His opponent cut a string of great lights, on the way to the final. Scott tried to push the tree and left too quick. But, he needed a good light, since the other guy cut a .027.

Cool The Burtons Score

Wow, Scott & Brad Burton had a great weekend, for Pontiac power !

In div 5, Scott had already got RU at the Stock/SS combo race, earlier in the weekend. Then, Sunday he won Stock Eliminator !

http://www.dragracecentral.com/DRCSt...r=100#indextop

Then, in the div 6 race, Brad Burton won the Stock class, to complete a nice family race weekend ! And, if that's not enuff, the #1 qualifier, Ryan Warter, was RU, with his Pontiac powered Bird !

http://www.dragracecentral.com/DRCSt...UMMIT#indextop

Congrats to these guys for a great weekend of Pontiac powered racing !

Yes, any of the index classes they run at races such as the NHRA & IHRA national events and divisional races are included. This would definitely include the 8.90, 9.90, & 10.90 classes. Some of the class names are Super Gas, Super Street, Quick Rod, Hot Rod, etc.

Now, in my area, the smaller tracks have a variety of brackets and index classes. I have no way of knowing what Pontiacs are running at these smaller events.

And nowadays, the biggest payouts, by far, are at the big bracket events. I can't possibly keep up with all the big bracket races all over the country. So, I started a thread so that anybody can post their bracket and index info. The title of the thread is "2016 Pontiac Powered Bracket Racing".

http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...Bracket+Racing

So, please, any of you guys who have any Pontiac powered bracket or index info, please post it, on that thread. This can include info about upcoming events. If you know of a big bracket or index race coming up, please post a link to the race flyer or other info. Here's an example from a track we use to run. They run brackets and at least one index race, every month.

http://www.prescottraceway.net/

Or, if you are just running one local track, post the info when you do good. If you're running for points, keep us posted on how you're doing. If you don't post it, most will never know of your Pontiac powered racing accomplishments. We always ran small local tracks. So, except for an IHRA points race win, none of our wins got any national mention.

But, with this site, most of the Pontiac world can hear about your car & accomplishments. Because of my racing background, whether it's Stock, Super Stock, bracket, index, or even dirt track, I love to hear about a Pontiac doin good against the other brands, especially if they beat a Chevy !

Default Summernationals & Div 4 race

This weekend we have the Summernationals, in Englishtown, and a div 4 race, in OK.

The big race starts today. The only Pontiac drivers I've spotted so far are: Randi Lyn Shipp & Todd Hoven, in Stock, and Sam Biondo in SS.

http://www.nhraeventreg.com/ListEven...EJ1&cc=8&rn=10

http://www.nhraeventreg.com/ListEven...EJ1&cc=7&rn=10

They're supposed to run 2 rounds of qualifying today, in Stock & SS--but no results posted as of right now.

Default Hatari

Here's a pic of the "Hatari" 428 powered 4th gen, driven by Sam Biondo. The pic was taken at the Summernationals.

According to an at race reporter, the plan for Fri is to have 1 more round of qualifying, then run class elims, then run the 1st round of Stock elims.
