Uhmmm.
Weight transfer to rear wheels is cut short early on with front end limiters.
The Teeter Todder effect.
Effective Leverage is changed.

Dragsters pulling Wheelies is amazing.
Effective leverage is tremendous to overcome.

Antisquat must be present for both.
Dead Hookup.

Jack I put the shocks and limiters in. I measured the wheels there was 4" of travel. Now with the limiters in there is 2" of travel.

Pic of your limiters please, not that I'll ever need them.

Very good, 4" of travel is a lot. 2-2.5" is right in there. Good luck and keep us posted.

Don't say that, you have Pontiac power!

There are a few good pics on page 1 of this thread for stock control arms.

Well I tried it with the limiters and new shocks now the rear tires spin and the car shakes.

Slowly start loosening the shocks and giving it a little more front end travel. I'm betting the track wasn't all that great last weekend in the 90+ degree heat.

I made my first pass this last weekend that was pretty good (1.30-60'). The next 2 it spun some and lost about .06 in 60'. I loosened the limiters all the way and loosened the shocks 2 clicks. It picked up .03 the next pass to 1.33 and the next one wheelied pretty good and picked up to 1.29. My car is probably like yours, it has to have the front end in the air for best 60'. It's just a balancing act not to let it get too high.
