Default dash lights

While working as a reserve deputy sheriff. I stopped a vehicle at 2 AM when asking for operators license and registration he asked why I stopped him. My reply because your dash lights are not working it took him by surprise. I explained when dash lights go out it is to inform operator that tail light are not working. usually a bad fuse.

OK,separate fuse for tail lights. No voltage at the bulb fixture.Check the fuse and not popped.Had voltage to it but not out.Pulled the fuse, cleaned up the contacts and put it back.Life is good again.tom

Don't you just love it when the fix doesn't take 2 weeks and a $500.00 dollars!!!

Had same thing but fuse was separated where it connects on the inside. Looks good through the glass but ohm meter proved it was no good.
