How many Naturally aspirated 1000+ Hp Pontiac combos are out there that drive to and from the lanes.......and put 200+ runs on it without changing spark plugs or head gaskets AT ALL let alone almost as much as they change oil or run valves in a season?

Nah George, it is not fun just going fast. That,s for losers. Whats fun is going rounds. Making it to the final and seeing your win light come on. Then collect your check and go out and have a good time.
Not one of the big dogs, but have over 40 1st and 2nd places in Pro and Super Pro. Have not raced as much for the past 5-6 years. But will go back to racing 12-15 races this season. Just got a lot better job.
Look, Curt got screwed over more than once. Problems with Tigers. Then this past Pro Port debacle. Didn't he used to run a single turbo and E heads. There is no freaking reason one could not build a basic wide port, do the 10 head bolt deal, run a turbo and make 1300-1400 HP and the engine last. Thats not even turning the wick up.
Off the shelf parts even. No reason at all.
What do you want to bet these DCI heads are going to run GREAT boosted and the gaskets will live like a BBC. Someone just has to do it.
Pontiacs have come too far for guys to jump ship like this. I dont care, both of your cars now SUCK. Hope you lose every race (but stay safe) If you want to stuff a BBC in your car, sell your beautiful Pontiacs, buy a ugly a$$ Chevelle or Camero and shove that dime a dozen, who cares, anyone can just go buy it and be "fast" engine that kept Pontiac down, kept them from building engines that would wipe the track with chevys. I HATE Chevrolet and any self respecting Pontiac guy should too. I would stuff a Ford big block in my car before a chevy. They are a better engine than a chevy by the way . I mean, how great will it be to be at the track, some Delta Bravo Chevy guy will give you the knowing "nod" when you pop the hood. puke.
Here is how it works at my track. I am the Pontiac guy here. So when I see a 79 on back cool looking Pontiac show up I walk up to the car and just look under it for that oil pan thats curved down in the front. The guys with a Pontiac in all know what I am doing and say, yes it has a Pontiac in it. And we are instant comrades. Met some real cool folks like that.
Now if there is a BBC in it I spit on the ground, look at him and walk off. Some guys do not like that too much but could not care less. Its who I am, never going to change.
Then if their Chevyac is slow for what it is. You know, the idiot who pulls his 400 in a 69 Bird for a Fing 396 and runs 12s. I make sure they know I am laughing at them. But they are too stupid to know why.
Your guys cars just are not cool with a BBC in it. Only a real car guy, real Pontiac guy knows and gets it. Sell them and buy a chevy first.
Do not have to like me, I don,t care. Everyone who knows me knows I am a Pontiac guy first.
Go race your BBCs like the rest of the sheep. I would just not race until my Pontiac got right before shoving a BBC in her.
I think you two made bad decisions with your programs, maybe you did not know as much as you thought about building a Pontiac.
All of you "cant blame him", "good job" types can go suck a lemon as far as I am concerned.

Curt,

If you decide not to jump ship let me know. I'd be happy to look at your program goals and see if I can help keep you in Pontiac power.

Thanks,

Aaron

That's interesting.....When I was running a bracket cv-1 motor and winning a lot of races everyone told me it wasn't about winning it was about going fast.

And Jeff V kills it everywhere he races NOWAY anyone can take that away from him. I'm sure PJ will put him in a upcoming song

The super classes are getting faster and faster do you want to keep looking over your shoulder at 150+ looking at "snap shots" going down the track loosing site of the stripe or would you rather watch the movie in front of you keeping the race in front of you the whole time so you never lose sight of your opponent or the stripe?

I can't stand they guys who are so brand specific. I like the diversity.

perhaps a better head choice with a different valve arrangement would help.

What is so Diverse about every make of race car running the same engine?
Like nascar, boring as hell. Drag racing not far behind.
The only thing making it interesting at the moment is SO.

Read what what Jim quoted, he called him a douche for that paragraph. I thought Jim was being kind, I was thinking a different "d" word.

Regardless, Merry Christmas and good will towards men!

The only thing making it interesting at the moment is SO.
I mean diverse as in all cars (Chevy, Chrysler, Pontiac. Olds, buick,AMC...) they all are cool even though they have different engines. I guess he hates the NHRA. Top fuel and funny cars are Chrysler hemi design. I bet he hates later trans am's since they came with OLDS motors.
Get used to engine swaps, just about every ford coupe has a chevy in it! It has been going on for a very long time.

And he just told two guys on this board there cars suck, he would spit on the ground when he sees a chevy in a Pontiac, and if I said good job I can suck lemons. LOL
Just because someone does not want to wait for parts and spend twice as much on a brand specific motor, does not make them a bad guy. So good luck to Curt and his new set up. The guy has been contributing here and helping this board for a while, now he sucks??
