awesome!
I kept trying to adjust my screen to discern the primary portion of the carb... was curious if I could discern any details about it. EDIT: ok on second glance I could see that it didn't have the non-RA '"primary squirters" - I can't recall what they're called at the moment.

some searching around the users channel reveals the car has 180* headers, I like the sound and tone ala V8 euro super car ....from a 68 Pontiac! And the cackle at idle.

Show this to your buddies that thinks that the first thing you should do is the scrap the 'quadra-junk" and throw a Holley at it. That thing has a throttle response like EFI.

HOLD THE PHONE!!!
I just looked at the other videos; Isn't the "Hard Times" Firebird run by Truman Fields? If so, who is Todd? I thought Truman's car was a RAI car? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVFNJKRn7LU It appears as though my last correspondence with Mr Fields was in 2009; When I tried emailing him again in 2014, it appeared to not go through - I got a bounce back.

Truman has passed on to that Great Drag Race in the sky, some years ago.
He was an outstanding tuner of the Q-Jets as were Roy and Mike McKinny. Tom V.

I guess that explains the lack of email replies. Seemed like a really great guy, was super generous in sharing info on what worked for him - he even offered to sell me some stuff- but I declined... the block was more than I could afford, and the "prepped" heads were not correct for my car... I did try to keep in touch with him, I hope he went peacefully.

Seemed like 11 or 12 seconds run time.
Anybody know if Mahoney has such a Q-JET video of the 9 sec ET? |
