want to repair a part of the lower front of the reat qtr panel .looks like the outer skin is sandwinhed between the sub structure , how do i get the new one in

Not a pro but I would think you will have to cut higher into the 1/4. How high is the question no one can answer.
Make your patch to go above the drilled holes. Weld it on then cut off higher up. Fix the structure behind then reweld the patch back in. |

can you inspect thru the vent in the door jamb, or take out the rear interior panel?
