Skip, I think that’s the fix for the Pypes tails and I suggested that. It would allow slight tweeks to the angles required to come through the valance.

They came through the valence and fit well with no extra bends on my 71

I guess you could cut the Pypes and get a short piece you expand to slip over one of theirs and then expand the other piece of their tailpipe to make it like a 2 piece.

Are there any 3 inch tailpipes sold for 70 to 81 firebirds?

I thought Pypes had a 3", I still have two new sets of Torque Tech He was retiring and going to cruise in his RV. I bought 2 of the 3 F bodies a couple of years ago. He was already out of A body pipes.

Too bad you weren't closer I'd buy a set! I'm not sure if Pypes will sell just the tailpipes...I may have to buy a full exhaust and sell my 3 inch/2.5 Pypes system.
