Default Guilty pleasure..food

I have one terrible guilty pleasure that is sooo bad..i know its a heart attack in a sack..

7-11 cheese nachos..dang i love those things...cant help it...

so much salt on the chips ya cant eat them by them selves..and i dont know what that orange goo is..but i am sure it aint cheese...and pile on the pickled jalapenos...it hurts the next day coming out..BUT worth it...

very rarely do i get them..but when i get the craving..theres no stopping me...love 'em..and..

just finished a serving..well..more like 2....so much cheesie stuff, the chips got soggy..i almost licked the bowl....no joke...

i got issues...

(dont tell Trixie..she'll kill me...or worse..have a "life choices talk"..id rather take a kick in the balls..than to hear that talk one more time)

Use to eat LOTS of junk food.

I suppose one of the worst was buying a dozen, still warm, glazed doughnuts, and eating every one of 'em, along with a full quart of 4% whole milk, & doing it several times a week. Sugar, grease, white flour, and butterfat, in large doses, can't possibly be good for a body.

And, when I still had a milk route, I drank Borden chocolate milk out of gallon jugs, instead of water.

Hey, I could name lots of other stuff I've pigged out on. My favorite place to eat is most any good all-you-can-eat buffet--pizza, catfish & seafood, and just good old southern cookin, ESPECIALLY those places that have good soft-serve ice cream for dessert.

Hey, it almost feels like I'm gaining weight, just talkin about it.

But, hey, at least I've limited myself to only one doughnut, and that, very seldom. Also seldom eat pizza anymore, even though I do still love it.

Have now grown to like broccoli & green beans.

PIZZA!
Not so much the chain stores like Dominos, or PapaJohns, but from an small independent store. Around here, there is a place called Starlight pizza, that is to die for! Started in the 50's, the original bar is gone, but there are 2 other stores that continue the tradition.

A local butcher makes a pork chop stuffed with sausage and wrapped in bacon. Grill them, throw in a baked sweet potato and blackeyed peas with a tall glass of sweet tea and call the coroner! It's called a heart attack on a plate!

Hole in the gas station wall has the best smoked & rubbed chicken and pork in the north AL. Oh and the nachoes are off-chart:

Nacho chips cooked to order
fancy cheddar cheese
jaleponos all over
2 lumps of pulled meat.

If a fella like me has the whole nachos for Sat-lunch, then dinner is impossible (no appetite) and breakfast is undesired (not a hint of appetite), and Sunday lunch can be anything.

Doughnuts and pizza = bad.
Whole milk and butterfat = good.

Butter = Butyric acid. That is an EFA Essential fatty acid.

http://lpi.oregonstate.edu/mic/other...al-fatty-acids

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4027835/

Butter is not the enemy that most are led to believe.

Whole milk is a good source of whey protein. Not as bad as most are led to believe.

https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/whey-protein-101

Vegetables = good.

Notice how America has followed the advise of the "experts" and we are more obese than ever? More diabetes and inflammatory conditions of all sorts? High blood pressure, "low T", dementia, the list goes on.

Food for thought.

Where I am there's a Mexican super store that has about 15 varieties of hog cracklins.....I get the banana sized ones that weigh about a pound apiece. You can feel your arteries harden as you eat the darn thing.....

In-N-Out burger with grilled onions and fries well done. It's perfect.

Building on the original comment about 7-11 nachos, my other guilty pleasure is good old Velveeta and Rotel mixed together to make some queso. Good stuff.

Peanut M&M's.
My wife buys them in the multi pound "kidney stone and heart attack" size. I ask her not to and she buys them anyway....so I eat them anyway.

My wife makes homemade oatmeal cookies that are amazing when hot out of the oven.

I can eat then until I pass out....with a cold glass of milk.

Be one with the cookie, I am the COOKIE...

Assorted Italian Cookies don't stand a chance near me.

Wife says I should cut back and then buys one of these..

Now there's no way those cookies can win
