Exclamation Muscle collector (Gary) lost his oldest son today.

Gary's oldest son Kevin was only 29 and had been battling diabetes from an early age. Although he had been good recently and had even gone up to the lake with them Saturday to go boating/tubing it was a situation he would never get out of or would never beat. It is believed he got into a low sugar situation and couldn't recover.

Gary & I had spoken just recently about it and how he had come to terms with the idea that Kevin's time would come before his own but saying it and experiencing it are two very different things.

I don't care who you are or what kind of a relationship you may have with your children, but nothing, absolutely nothing will prepare you for that phone call! Please keep Gary and his family in your thoughts and prayers this weekend. Just a tragic, horrible loss.

Very sad to hear. Can't imagine what it would be like to lose a son or daughter. Much too young. Will keep his family in our thoughts...

My condolences to Gary and his family. No child (and even at 29 he is still Gary's child) should pass before his parents.

Sad, very sad. My most sincere and deepest condolences to Gary and his family. The pain and anguish from losing a child is incomprehensible. My heart goes out to the young man that never got to see many more decades of life.

utterly speechless and overwhelmed and helpless

We love you Gary ,
hurts that there's absolutely nothing we can do to make this any different.

may peace grow with you and your family as the days go by.

Chris thanks to you for all that you have always done for so many of us at different times in different ways.

Gary,
You have my sincere condolences and prayers for the loss of your son. I have a grown son with his own serious health adversities, so the fear of possibly losing him some day haunts me.

Gary, I am so sorry for your loss. I've been dealing with diabetes for almost 40 years now and have experienced several lows over the years. They are scary deals. A couple of times if it weren't for my family being with me and knowing what was going on I probably wouldn't be here. The sad thing is I honestly believe that even if a cure is found, it will be held back by the drug companies because they make so much money off drugs, test strips, needles, etc. I'll keep you and your family in my prayers.

Thanks Chris for letting us know.
