I am making this thread because recently made an expensive (to me) purchase, and I would like to completely cover what I spent.
I also hope to cover some money that it looks like I will be spending in the coming months on other parts for my Firebird.

While I would prefer to deal in person and be paid in cash, I realize that selling here makes this improbable. I'd next prefer a personal cheque to wholly avoid the likes of paypal (I have never linked it to my bank account, so PP funds more or less languish).
My asking price does not include shipping, I will ship as per your request, and only charge what I am quoted.


My asking price would be $300usd (plus shipping) any of the following:

7029268 (OE) undated; this is an early unit which had the full application number stamped on the fuel bowl, and the manufacture date stamped on the throttlebody; it appears to have a replacement (correct casting number) throttlebody; this carb is dirty, and has not as of yet been gone through by myself.

7040263 (SR) dated 1639 (163rd day of 1979); perfect shape, gone through and wrong parts replaced.

7040263 (OE) dated 2749 (274th day of 1969); a little worse for wear, has been through rebuilders; extra vacuum line plugged with lead; incorrect parts replaced with correct parts.

7040262 (OE) dated 2109 (210th day of 1969); mint-mint-mint; bought as a new old stock rebuild nearly twenty years ago ('Tech rebuilt carburetor'); not modified, fantastic original colouring, incorrect service parts replaced with correct parts.


My asking price would be $250usd (plus shipping) any of the following:

7041264 (OE) dated 0571 (57th day of 1971); this carb is dirty, and has not as of yet been gone through by myself.

7041262 (OE) dated 3560 (356th day of 1970); this carb is dirty, and has not as of yet been gone through by myself.

7042264 (OE) dated ??; this is my spare "runner" which is in the garage right now and has been used alot by myself; the rubber on the power piston needs to be replaced to get it be replaced to get back into running shape

7044268; this carb has not as of yet been gone through by myself; if interested I can grab a date off of it; this is a 1974 GTO/automatic carburetor and comes with the very specific kickdown bracket.

7041540; Buick divorced choke 800cfm; this carb has not as of yet been gone through by myself; I bought it then squirrelled it away.

7043264; this carb has not as of yet been gone through by myself; if interested I can grab a date off of it; early model year; pre-emmisions recertification

7043266; this carb has not as of yet been gone through by myself; if interested I can grab a date off of it; late model year; post-emmisions recertification


I will be happy to provide pictures and any additional requested information on any of these carburetors, and since I have been meaning to post a thread of this nature for over a month, I am making the thread right now with no pictures.
If any questions are publicly asked I will reply with pictures of said carburetor.

it was just pointed out to me that in my first post, I typoed the very first carb;
The first carb listed should have read "7028268" - it is the same carb that I linked a video for.

I am going to correct myself at the possibility of seeming a little silly.

I have been sorting through parts for the past year and a bit, and I am now thinking that I mis-spoke that I said I typoed it yesterday, but rather forgot about, or opted to leave it off when I made the listing.
The 7029268 matches my description, and has a replacement TB with no date.

I do have some other Quadrajets that I have not listed, and the 7028268 really could use a heli coil for the fuel inlet, which may be why I left it off from my listing.
I hope this isn't all too confusing.

My 7028268 Quadrajet is quite a nice looking piece, and something I bought at a swap meet several years ago - probably in large part because I was going to leave empty handed... and no one likes to drive 120miles one way to attend a swap meet, and leave empty handed!

aside from the miserable inlet threads, it was taken apart and inspected, then re-assembled and test run on my brother's engine (see video from post #2).
This carb has it's original date coded throttle body;
The date code is 2997; or the 299th day of 1967.
I have a piece of masking tape on it to note that it has #72 primary jets, 42B primary needles, and 'CV' secondary needles.
My asking price for this carb is the same as the 7029268.
