Vehicle, 1974 Firebird Formula 400/auto.
Engine had a basic rebuild and installed R45T plugs instead of the extended reach R45TS plugs. Heads 4X, pistons L2262F 0.040, Comp Cams XE262H. Was there a reason for this?

The extended reach plug will raise the compression a very small amount and make the burn happen faster so the motor can be run with less timing which inturn helps out top end power and fuel usage.
A extended tip plug will run a tad hotter, but I do not think that in motor built such as yours that you will be out on the edge of a 45 plugs heat range to worry about it!
