Angry 57947 members. You should be embarrassed.....

So I have been watching the very slowly rising total on the amount of money being pledged to help out the owners of this site.

$3227.00 raised today from a total membership here of 57,947 people. I readily acknowledge that many of those total members are probably long gone but assuming that they all were/are still active, that means LESS than six (6) cents has been raised from each member. That's terrible.

The owners and administrators of this site are providing us all with an invaluable service. They deserve better than just being "used up" by far too many takers!

Come on people. A lazy $25.00 won't hurt any of you.

If only 1 out of 57 registered members donated $5 each ... goal would be met.

Honestly Sir,

You have to give folks a chance! To my knowledge, this is the 1st time this forum has asked for donations & it will take a while for the members to notice the "Donation Tab"! Also I doubt if more than 1000 of those listed members are actual participating members. I get the sentiment, but give it some time.

God Bless
Bill

Thanks for the 'nudge' Heybuck! I just donated too. This is a great forum, so I'm more than happy to support it.

At the very top of every forum, above the first thread, is an announcement; the link to donate is in that announcement. Or just click here: https://forums.maxperformanceinc.com...ment.php?f=467

Buck is 100% right. Something that might help would be for it to show up with a link for people like me that hit "Today's Posts". I only saw it the first couple days it was brought up, and yes I donated.

So far, 85 donors averaging $44.70 each.
Just 27 more donors needed (at that average) to hit the goal.
Top donor gave $200!!

I'm sorry. Let me go to my room full of golden jewels and cut a check for the remaining balance.

I gladly donated but I don't think shaming people is the answer. IDK, just saying.

At first blush I agree, $25-50 dollars is not a big ask for the value most of us get from the site.
But there are businesses benefiting here, one of them we all call our host, many of us try to buy everything we need from them or the other businesses. I spent a ton at Butler and quite a bit at Ames and I’m not done.
I wonder how much Cold Case, Legendary, Ames , Butler or any other businesses here would miss this site and how much their businesses would suffer?
Some members here also benefit financially as they participate and do business at the same time. I know they have paid memberships.

Still I honestly feel that is where the financing of this site should come from. I know I’m in the minority and expect to get flamed. But I’d like some clarity on why the businesses benefiting the most can’t solve this.

How much $ dose this site bring in a year on advertising money alone? How about sponsorship dollars for paid sponsors?
The cost of keeping the server running?

If your going to try and shame your membership for not paying to play your not doing a very good job of running a business.
Say what you will but I don’t think you understand how bad this original post makes you look.
