I have a gap between my metal shroud and my radiator. I was just at a car show and saw a 65 with a/c and there was no gap. However, I noticed there was an indent in his metal shroud so that the radiator bracket didn't interfere with the shroud. Should there be an indent for the bracket? I have attached a pic of his 65.

Something looks off here. Doesn't look like the correct shroud.

The '67 Assembly Manual shows a 9420222 nut placed beteen the shroud and the bracket. I suspect '65 did something similar.

Definately has a square nut on the bracket. But my '65 shroud does not have an indentation.

'65 with factory AC and steel shroud: I have no indent like that but definitely a nut between the bracket and the shroud.
