After talking with all parties this is what I know about the pro ports. Butler now only offers one port design & it’s the 430-440 cfm. BES on the other hand offers two different ports. A 450 cfm & a 475-480 cfm. BOP no longer makes intakes but Butler had one “big port” intake left so I bought it & sent to BES. It’s a 6 month turn around time to get a new set from BES. I had BES compare the BOP & Polar to see what would work best & the messaged me last Friday saying they would use the BOP.

In september Frank had indicated he expected to have Tiger castings available for first quarter of 2025. I do not know if that schedule is still accurate, however.

Sounds like it’s been pushed right again. We talked right before Memorial Day & he was hoping to have some by the end of the year.

Good info thanks.
Sure wish someone would make a good race intake for us, something similar to the BOP would be nice

Preston @ BES originally said he thought the polar would work good but after having them side by side he said the polar just didn’t have enough csa.

Ya I've owned both and the BOP has more potential without surgery imo. Glad Preston agrees with my thoughts.

The Polar Wind was a great idea. Wish it would've been made with a removable top and more material around the the runner entrance.... It'd save a lot of time over re-working a Victor or chasing down a BOP.

Oh there’s still going to be a surgery involved with the BOP just not as extensive I don’t think. I ran the BOP intake with my older pro ports so I was ok with his decision.

They said they made 1170hp with a set of the big port heads like I’m getting on a 550 c.i.. That setup had compression around 16.8 & I want to stay around 15.5-15.75
