Wow that Blue 68 was a really great piece before someone decided it needed to be a street rod .
Doesn't appear they have any of the take-offs.
Stupid games and stupid prizes.

68 Lime green Firebird with a 428 in Illinois at $37K. The entire radio section of the dash has been blanked out and all the gauges surround the steering wheel. Remember those hot rod t-shirts that had bulgy eyed dude with bloodshot eyes? That's what the shifter looks like to me. Why on earth would you want an automatic shifter to be that tall?

67 350HO Firebird in NJ at $33K. This 4-speed car is nice and if it were mine, I wouldn't take $33K for it. I predict it will sell, but I'm wondering if there's a shift in the classic car market. We all know there's a lot of change right now, and the hot rod is the first thing to go, especially if you need quick cash. Cash is king in a buyer's market. Sadly, I think we'll see more underpriced cars. This car is so sharp.

What change are you talking about? Things are good. Markets are good. America isn’t swimming in incompetency anymore.
Looks like a low 30 to mid 30s car to me.

Not saying that times are bad, and I do not wish to delve into politics. Times are good, it's just not for everyone. For whatever reason, which could be a divorce or whatever, if you need cash, the toys go first. That's how it worked for me.

68 Firebird 400 stick that the seller claims he has the NM transmission and engine long block at $20K in CA. Too high for a car that needs everything IMO.

68 Firebird SBC at $27K in CA with some fairly obvious mistakes made... at least to me. The stance is all wrong (shackles = dum), the interior has a bunch of stupid prism tape and some other very easy fix stuff. Lot to like about this car. CA car and a weekend undoing the damage and adding a set of Rally II's with a stock steering wheel would make a lot of difference... if you can live with a SBC. Let's face it, lots of Firebirds have them and Chevy small blocks are great running engines. Haters gonna hate, but dreamers dream.

I would rock the hell out of the 69 GTO Judge clone for the $17K it's at right now. Will be interesting to see where it goes.

80 Trans AM in NC that's had a frame off at $35K. The work alone (outside of parts) is worth that. Very good deal.

68 GTO convertible that they're calling Copper in Massachusetts at $55K. Has the obligatory Buick decal on the air cleaner, the incorrect 69 Judge wing looks bad to me with wing windows, but other that, it rocks and those are easy fixes. Ram Air exhaust manifolds and hide-away headlights tell me someone knew what they were putting together. Nice car, and if the color is wrong, it has a black interior, so you could paint it any color. I find the steering wheel interesting. That steering wheel is a 72 Sport steering wheel out of a Lemans, at least that's where mine came from when I found it in a junkyard in the late 80's. I put it in my 69 Firebird 350 HO convertible with a leather wrap to make it fatter, because this steering wheel is fat, like a 71 Trans AM. The later Trans AM steering wheels are thinner, so the difference is pretty obvious. Anyway, the builder put the 68 Firebird horn button on this one. It looks foreign and wrong to me, and I like the look of the stock one, with is just a "PMD" in the center. I know it's just me and this opinion is shallow, but that hate I have for this steering wheel is immeasurable. Some will hate the flat pleats in the seats, but I don't think that's a big deal... others will differ on that one, just like the wing. FWIW the spokes on the steering wheel are the same as a wood wheel, so with a black leather wrap it looks like a wood wheel with a wrap.

This is a really nice Firebird in original factory condition. I seriously considered buying her, but the current owner was asking $40k, OBO, a couple months ago, so the price is coming down, but I couldn’t justify anything over 25k when 67/68 Firebirds (base & 400 Birds) selling for mid to high 20’s on BaT in better condition body wise. Yes, this is a great time-capsule, and a very rare Firebird to boot. It has a HD 3-speed, not a 4-speed, btw. I would have paid 28-30k if it was a true factory 4-speed with a factory Safe-T-Track (posi) rearend, and if the vinyl top was original. It is in good condition, but I fear the cowls and lower A-pillars/dash may be rusted and the pinch wells at the rockers looked suspect as well. The interior is almost perfect however. It is all there, except for a few minor items (shifter boot for one), and I probably didn’t give it enough credit that it may have deserved. In any case, I would really inspect the Bird in person before dropping 30k, or more, on it.

Dennis

Agree with the above. The one thing I forgot to point out on the car is the bench seat. The buckets look cool, but a bench allows 3 people, or your SO sitting next to you. It's a pretty rare option, and I imagine the shifter handle is special.

57 Pontiac Chieftain in CA (blk/yel plate) at $15K NR. Nice shape if this kind of car is your jam. Those plastic seat covers remind me of an aunt who put plastic runners on the carpet and plastic covers on the couch. They never removed the covers, so you'd sit on sticky plastic. This car prolly won't have 200 miles put on it in the next 5 years... enjoy the interior.
