'67 Bird Data Plate mystery numbers
I have decoded all but 1 set of numbers on a '67 Firebird 400 data plate that my friend owns. '628' is stamped in the upper most left corner to the left of the build date and above the 67-22667. Any ideas?
Also, the paint code is 'SPECIAL-2'. The car is now silver, but he tells me there are traces of yellow under some weather seal. Could anyone request Mayfair Maize from the A & B Body line or was that only for the Pontiac executives? I understand the 2 designates a black convertible top. |

My guess is an internal build sequence number for the body shop.
