Thanks for the info! I am new to the car scene, I have been a motorcycle technician for almost ten years now so I appreciate any insights on the car stuff haha the engine is a 68' "WK" block with 68' #18 heads which if my memory serves me correct were not "low compression" and sat @ 10.5:1 I maybe mistaken though. I was running 15w-40 T4 but have since switched to 20w-50 VR1 and oil pressure sits around 40-45psi.

Update;
got all the lights to work, cleaned up the fuse box and grounds in the back and now all the lights work..I have fallen in love with this car, I got it as a basket case with hopes and dreams it would run..had to pull alot of long nights and angered the wife alittle along the way but I am beyond happy with how it's turned out so far, and again thanks to all who have helped and guided me it's made a big difference..so since I got running right I've put on about 200 miles with out a single issue!! Next up is matching rally wheels and tires, rear shocks..I've contemplated painting the car black but am still up in the air with that decision.

Congrats on getting the car to reliable fashion. I think the Rallye II's are gonna look great.

Black would be cool, but I think that color combination is pretty cool itself and cleaned up it looks pretty decent. Instead of the expense of a repaint, have you thought about having a detailer bring what's there back to life as far as it can be? It'll have some patina, but that's cool these days.

Yeah I like this idea, the current paint isn't too bad tbh and I do love the original patina look..

Default Update on my first cool car

Messed around with her all winter got some rally wheels off of ebay, had to fix em' all up though as they had alot of surface rust..so I cleaned that all up and painted them also tracked down the beauty rings and center caps so the car has all period correct wheels on it now with the exception that the fronts are 14x6's and the rears are 15x7's you can barely tell they are different sizes, also since I had the oem shaker hood laying around and the shaker scoop (minus the base) I decided to ditch the original slightly rusty hood for the 74' Gto hood and scoop..I know it won't be "functional" and some will gringe that I've mocked it up to mount on the underside of the hood instead of the motor, but with my set-up of the torker 1 and edelbrock carb with adapter and spacer it wouldn't work anyhow. I've driven it so far about 400 plus miles and have nothing but good things to say about it..it does lope alittle which could be the cam spec. Which is kinda cool..man I wish I had the info from the original builder on what his plan was with this car or what he did to it, it's bothersome not knowing tbh

Torker I worked well for me on 4.21" stroke, when the plenum-upper was opened to unshroud the carb bores and blend the runner ceilings, and port-match. Is a lot of grinding that other manifolds play as-good without the grind.

Ima favor the Dual-Plane manifold for Street-Strip now though because i sold all my intakes.
