I just wanted to say thanks for all the guys who talked to me and gave me advise while I was putting together this combination. I havent gotten it to the strip yet since it has been together less than a week and I am still working out the bugs but so far it is awsome. Well here comes the list.

Thanks to:

Pontiac Dude and Danee for lots of talk about cranks and block prep, and for my crank and shim kit, bearings, oil pump drive and hard block. And thanks to Karen for helping me straighten out UPS when they decided that I must have wnated those bearings obround (silly UPS)

Paul Spotts for my crank scraper and Connecting Rods.

Scott Esterle for finding seemingly the last complete set of std. TRW forged 455 pistons in the US, I think at the time I ordered they had 15 in stock and Federal Mogul wasn't planning on making them any time soon, and also thanks to Scott for the good gasket set, timing set and oil pump.

David Butler and the rest of JBP for my Pioneer Balancer and plenty of good times at US 43 Dragway, kept me from forgeting about my bird.

Dave @ SD Performance for many many many phone calls asking about cam selection and deciding what I needed to do in the Head Department. Thanks Dave for a great set of heads and I think the Ideal cam for the application. Just enough lope and pulls REALLY hard the little I have let meself mash on it in the last week.

Wade and Mark at BOP for talking me into buying a 400 size Rear Main Seal, would have never used the 455 one if you had had it then, and for talking me throught the instalation process when stuff just wasn't working like I thought it should.

and to everyone else on this board who has shared their knowledge and experience with me and helped me to decide on the direction for this engine.

Thanks again to everyone

Joe Bush
