Well, while buying a set of 670 heads, intake, and what I thought was going to be the correct carb for my 67 GTO Auto car I ended up with a really nice set of heads, and intake all three with same day date codes. The carb however although from the Pontiac factory ( known for sure) has a strange number. Rather than the tag that's on the normal 67 carb this one is stamped with 7037262. Now, I had a friend look in his Pete McCarthy book and left me an e-mail saying it was listed for a 67 GTO. Nawwwww, I never heard of anything other than the 7027262 which I've been looking for since mine was stolen by the shop I was having it rebuilt at. Doors closed and everyone lost their parts. Anyone know of such a carb? If so, whats the deal with this odd number? Also, looking at the 67 Heads they don't look like my 67 heads but mine are mounted and I can't tell what not the same. thanks friends. < Mike >
