HELP!!!!! my son has a 67 tempest, he just finished the body and decided to change rear-ends, he has a very built 66" 389 w/auto trans. Car had origianal,1wheel wonder w/273 ratio. At Iola swapmeet/car show he bought a rear-end complete housing & gears & axles, w/373 posi, this was out of a 70" camaro,we knew the housings would not interchange BUT!!! the nice gentleman told us "guess we had sucker writen all over us" that no problem the gears all interchange so we bought it. WRONG!!!!we now figured out that they don't interchange, ferthermore there is 4 different GM 10 bolt rear-ends. Thus bringing me to the question, finally! The old rear-end pinion was wrecked in the process of removal "DON'T ASK" So what do we need to look for in our search for a used rear-end, or should we forget the whole idea and just go new components for the original housing? Wanting to go posi w/323 or 355 ratio
