OK, after a long search, I think I'm ready to pull the trigger and buy a 66 convertible GTO. I know the motor and trans are not original, thats ok. And the owner is a real nice guy, but he doesn't seem to know that much about GTO stuff. He claims the car has a 67 389 motor...no such thing!
How do I check body parts to make sure they are genuine GTO? I saw a 67 GTO advertised on ebay and the seller said he "thought" one of the fenders was from a 66 Tempest!
I need to know where to look, and what to look at. I am supposed to meet him again tomorrow night with my final offer!
Thanks.
