Hey guys I'm new here, but I've been restoring a 70 Esprit for a few years now, and I have an issue on my engine harness. It's new, and what I assume is my coil positive (black and yellow together on half ring terminal) is always hot, as is some other wires. Are there supposed to be wires underhood that are always hot? Also, I have an HEI in right now, but I have it connected to batt + and I just pull the plug to shut the car off. Since the harness is new, I assumed I could rule it out as suspect. Since it cranks fine, but things stay hot with key off, I assumd ignition switch, so I replaced it. Same deal, didn't help. I have a turn signal switch on order, but I doubt that will help. The only wiring diagrams I have are for a 71 bird out of my haynes manual, and a 70 Camaro harness diagram that a buddy on another forum emailed me. If someone could tell me where to look, or if this is normal, and I'm looking at the wrong wires, could someone please help me out? Thanks guys
