I havent seen any thread on this, I wanted to install a 400 into a 88 Chevy 1/2 ton 2wd.
I want to replace the 200,000 mile 4.3 with some more power and I have a 73 400. How direct of a drop in, considering which engine and frame mount to use, shortening and driveshaft and installing a th400 yolk. What exhaust to use. And if any of the tbi set-up could be used. I've seen adapter plates to mount the the Tb to any squarebore or square intake. I would at least have to use 02 sensor inputs, but nut sure what other inputs to try to use the throttle body. If I couldnt use the throttle body , I would just have to install a regulator to go down from the 12-13 lbs I have now to 6lbs of fuel pressure. Any input to this swap?
