Help! I just finished installing a TOTALLY new front suspension on the 68 LM. I ordered a kit from PST and bought the remainder from PY -at an excellent price(shameless plug).
I put Hotchkiss 1901 springs front and rear. I took it down and had it aligned- no problem. Here's the problems: 1) PST supplied upper ball joint- grease sqirts out the side of the balljoint- where the upper cap and the body mate together- anybody have the same problem before? 2) The front end is making a "boinging" sound if you hit a dip/irregularity or bounce the front suspension with your hands. It seems to be coming from the drivers side spring. I don't see any appearant(sp??) problems. Any ideas? 3) On the passenger side, I can't get to the nut on the upper A arm shaft's rear bushing. I pretightened it (not enough to induce preload), but I can't get to the damned thing. The air conditioning suitcase/headers don't leave a hell of a lot of room. Anyone hae a trick for this? Any help is greatly appreciated- ------------------ John
