I'm ready to order paint for the seat backs and arm rests on my gold 69 LM. But - the original color coating has oxidized or turned scaly such that it scrapes off easily to the bare plastic. It appears to be a coating of texturizing material. I know I need to strip this down to smooth plastic so the new paint will stick, but how do I get the texture correct? Are the interior paints sold in the resto catalogues sufficient or is some other preparation required?
All tips gladly accepted!
