My (former) engine guy screwed up and did not elongate my pushrod holes when he installed my Harland Sharp 1.65 Roller rockers. The result was bent pushrods and broken springs. He then replaced the springs and pushrods and (again) neglected to realize that the pushrod holes must be enlongated with these rocker arms. (he said he could not get rid of the valvetrain chatter. Gee.. I wonder why!!!) Of course, I did my own research after all of this and instead of milling the heads (taking it back to him) I decided to swap for 1.5 ratio Harland Sharps myself. My question is: Do I need to change any parts besides just the rocker arms? Of course I do need to check for bent pushrods as I did drive it home from the shop around 25 miles. Any tips, pointers, cautions would be greatly appreciated. Lesson learned: Don't assume your engine builder knows it all because he only thinks he does.
