Ok lemme see if I can explain this..I have a heavy 3900lbs car with a 3.42 rear gear a 468 with 6x heads and a victor Dom set up.Car runs 11.9@115 spinning ,I go thru the traps @ 5100RPM.Ok heres the problem,I ordered this converter from PTC 3800 ten inch,It flashes in third gear rollin 10 mph to 3900rpms.I did not tell them about me using a tranny brake but I did tell them about the NOS useage.I have the NOS wired into the trannybrake with a relay.Heres my question, will the trannybrake make the converter not lock up as well on the gas? When I tried it out,the rpms came right up to 6000 and when I shifted they came right up to 6000 and I didnt gain any eighth mile MPH from my motor run.I just unloaded the car and tried to footbrake it and the tires spin @ 2800 in my driveway and it stalls at 3900 against the brake.Any suggestions before I pull it out and ship it back to PTC.
Thanks, Roger I did check the fluid and it is clean and not burnt. [ August 10, 2002, 11:46 AM: Message edited by: Roger C ]
