I have a 1965 GTO with factory air. My mechanic says that the compressor and clutch are working, but it does not blow cold. I have had conflicting advice from mechanics on how to recharge it. Some say that the old Freon is the only way to go (I was surprised that it was still available). Others said to convert to the new coolant (R-132?). Someone told me that the new coolant has molecules so small that they would leak out of my old system rapidly. Someone else said that any coolant I use would leak out after one season with the old hoses (expensive with the cost of Freon). Anyone who has recharged their systems successively? I need advice. Thanks, George F.
