just so i dont have to reply to you guys seperate ill do it at once sorry if i forget to reply to someone. yes i know the last f-bodies were made in canada (rumor i heared why they stopped making them was because the lease was up and GM didnt want to renew it) no i wouldnt drive a import but some of them have "nice" features. For example a 04 EVO VIII is all wheel drive turbo from the factory (shoud handle a little bit better) brembo brakes (does your 04 gto have that from the factory)? if you compare 1/4 mile times from magazines it will run faster then the GTO. thats just to name one. yes motorcycles are faster but you cant drive them year around where i live. im not willing to pay $400 a month for insurence (yes $400 A month and i have a clean driving record) or id have one. but im comparing car to car not car to motorcycle. and it depends on what you call "better"? do you call better faster ? theres no other V8 that pontiac makes. only V8's GM is making now in a car is a CTS-V or a vette. dont be suprised when chevy comes out with their coblat (import wanna be) that is a V6(supercharged) if it runs in the ballpark of the 04 GTO. mid 13's isnt hard to do out of a 6 thats why i say mid 13s in a V8 with the GTO (supposed to start the whole muscle car thing) is embarassing. no way in hell they would have made a GTO in the 60's slow. i can understand the smog/gas price thing in the 70's ( even tho it was BS and killed the real muscle cars ) but now? what about the 04 GTO makes it so great? i must have missed it. yeah its a rear wheel drive,V8,dual exhaust, but at least make faster then imports. i think you said it best chump (i didnt misspell that) i wouldnt want to drive a POS import but its faster then a 04 GTO. if it was called anythign else besides a GTO i would be 100% more interested in getting one. but that badge is embarassing to me.
