Jonhta1 is right. IF you want to do it without running new wires, the following works: At the regulator connector, jump "F" to term #4 for the idiot light connection and jump term #2 to term #3. for the battery sense connection.
At the alternator, the old wire that went to "F" now goes to term #1 on the alt, and the old "R" wire goes to term #@ on the new alt. Done deal. George
