The '66 Olds 442 used the 8.2 BOP (64-66) 8.2 10 bolt ring & pinion.
One can buy the following new Richmond gear series from Summit (243.95+ ship) or California Gear: -3.55 -3.90 -4.10 -4.56 (maybe still avail) Select used (or impossible to find nos) gears to fit same low ratio 8.2 10 bolt carrier are avail in following ratios: -3.36 -4.33 The 3.42 gear ratio was not used with '64-66 BO or 64-69 Pontiac 8.2 ten bolt, but was a '68-70 Buick 8.2 10 bolt...will not fit anything but 68-70 Buick 8.2 hsgs.
