I currently have a 455 engine with 6x heads I was just about to port the heads and do the machine work on the block, my cousin knows a friend whose roommate skipped town owing him $1000 dollars in back rent, leaving behind a machined 454 block, no crank, 1 head crower roller cam, roller lifters, roller rockers, resized rods, keith black 1 valve relief piston, all balanced with a complete engine overhaul kit including clevite rod and main berrings, rings, etc. He said he would sell it to me for $1000.00
The roller components alone are worth $1100.00 The block is been line bored good deal or stay with the 455. My friends trying to beat some sense in me to take this deal its a steal But still would have to spend more money on the conversion tranny, headers, exhaust, etc, what should I do?
