I want to add horsepower to my 71 GTO. It has an 400 with a 400 turbo hydro automatic transmission. The engine has been worked already and I believe it is .030 over or possibly .060 over (the previous owner was not sure). It has an msd ignition, a 14" K&N filter on a Carter Comp 4 barrel Carb, a new 3 inch exhaust (mufflers look stock), 10 bolt rear, a Crane Cam. I was told by the last owner that it is pushing between 350 and 370 horsepower. I would like to get it somewhere above 400. I know that it still has the original points. Mabey a new MSD distrubuter and a good blaster coil??? If anyone has any ideas let me know. The only thing is I don't want to put in a nitrous syster or any kind of supercharger.
