My 67 GTO has been in storage for seven years. I want to rotate the motor manually to loosen it up and to get it lubricated throughout. I've pulled the spark plugs, and removed the intake and valley pan to expose the cam.
My plan is to first spin the oil pump till the system shows oil flow or pressure, spray some oil into the cylinders, lubricate the cam and then slowly turn the crankshaft. Now that I've told you what I plan to do, can you guys tell me what I really should do. When should I change the oil, should I pre-lube the cam with something other than oil, etc. thanks - Jim |
