I'm a Pontiac fan, my brother's '68 400 H.O. Firebird with 3.90 gears once ran a 12.95 on 7" slicks! So a lot of what you say is true, but the fact remains, Pontiac and all the other V8's were eventually shut down in favor of corporate engines. That's just how it is, the old days aren't coming back.
