Hello fellow Poncho-philes
I'm in the middle of a rebuild on a stock AFB off of a '67 400 (it came out of a Bonny). I want to use it on my 326; I also have a factory manifold for it. In addition, I have an AFB off of a '66 389 GTO that I'm using as an "example" for when I reassemble the choke, secondary and throttle linkages. I will also "can" the throttle cable adapter off of this carb to replace the ball-stud used on the Bonny. I have torn the carb down *completely* and I need to find a source for the special screws that hold the throttle and choke plates to the pivot rod. Anyone have a recommended source for stuff like this? Also, some jetting questions: I have an AFB "strip kit" that will allow me to modify the primary and secondary jetting and the step up rods. Since this is a smaller engine(less air drawn thru carb, I figure I will need to go a bit leaner on the pri and sec jets and step up rods. What would be a good ball park initial jetting setup? I know, I shudda gotten a Q-jet manifold and carb.... Thanks for any help you folks can pass along. ------------------ Mike '67 Tempest Custom Post Coupe
