Default Selling (?) car show entrants contact info

Weekend after Labor Day I went to the Frankenmuth MI Auto Fest which touts 3,000 cars entered throughout the weekend:

It's sponsored by a Murray's Disc Auto Parts and others. I make it a practice not to use my full first name or city on the windshield card. Following Thursday I get a call from Ross Properties 810-230-1200, a lady asked to speak to me; do I own a GTO? Do I want to sell it? My boss is interested in buying it. I say hell no and hang up. Everyone I know who was at Frankenmuth got the same call. I searched Ross Properties and find that it is a real estate company that owns apartments and made a sizeable presidential contribution.

In the early morning after driving an hour+ I filled out and signed an entry form and paid my $, I MAY have signed away my privacy rights if it was in the small print somewhere? Is this a commonplace occurrence in shows? This info would certainly provide a gone is sixty seconds shopping list for cars.
