O k,what i have done is layed over the complete trunk floor is some carpet underlay and a piece of 1/2 inch gyp rock on the flat floor area to give it some decent contact to the floor area.I am going for a test drive and will let you guys know how it effected the exhaust noise within the car.If I have some partial success i will look for a rubber mat for the trunk thta these cars had as an option and install.We wil see or hear
