No real connection, just and outside company who seen a need & filled it.
You would see the SUN machines in most top notch shops including Dealerships.
Even GM dealers used them until they started making their own units
Sun dealers were just as bad as used cars salesmen, they just kept pushing you to up grade & buy more.

I don't have the distributor machine, I have the 720 tester.
I do have a local shop which has a restored Sun distributor machine.
I have them setup/rebuild my units.
I have the cards for most domestic cars 62-72.

You see thease machines come up on the net every now & then, no real market for older machines. There is a company which restores them & re-sells.
