Default lowering the seat

While Im here, another quick question. After years (10) I finally had the interior redone on my car. The problem is now with the new springs/foam ect... the seats seem way higher than before and my head almost touches the headliner. Im a big guy but I didnt have that problem before. I have seen the two racks the seats bolt onto the floorboard anbd they are the originals. Is there any cure, such as modified seat mounting brackets that are lower? It is a real pain getting in and out as well as now my damn thighs have to squeeze under the stering wheel. Any advise appreciated.
