Tom V - a set of 1965 GTO or large Pontiac AFB's will work very well on a mild street 389, 400 or 421. Remove the "tripower insurance policy" otherwise known as the hot idle compensator or wing, open up the idle tubes by 0.002 and go play. If your engine is wilder, different vacuum piston springs and/or a mild jetting change may also be required.

I have been building a set of Carter 3443's for use on the power ram, but have to cut new throttle arms, so have shelved this project in lieu of customer units.

With your comments about the casting number version being worth more, maybe I should reprice it!!!

I sent Cliff an 800, just like the one I sent to you. It was tempting to put a 1000 in the 800 box with a 800 tag, just to get Cliff's reaction but I didn't. The carb I sent to Cliff is a twin to the one I sent to you. Remanufactured by Carter in the original box. I did nothing to either, except pull them off the shelf and ship them.

When are you coming after your garbage can full of Holley stuff?
