Does anyone have any pictures, or links to pictures, of a '71 in Rosewood Metallic? (code 78) This must be an unusual color, because I can't seem to find a single example. I searched
www.ultimategto.com and didn't see any. There were a couple of shots of cars described as "burgundy" but I don't think it's the same. It's not even litsted in a lot of GTO books as a '71 color. I have a paint chip for 1971 and I can see it's a brownish-burgundy, but different than the code 78 for 1970 which is called "Burgundy."
My '71 GT-37 has code 78 on the cowl tag (the car was yellow when I bought it, and still is) and I want to try to visualize what it looked like when it was new, and what it will look like when I repaint it back to original. It's an early GT-37 so it would have red/white 'eyebrow' stripes, on the Rosewood body. Kind of a nice-sounding combo, but probably really scarce.
Anyone?
