Default My Girlfriend Wrecked Her Daddy's LeMans......

When I was 17 I dated a beautiful girl who's dad had a 71 Lemans. The car was green on green and had the GTO front facia. Anyway, one day she borrowed her dads car so we could go visit some of her relatives in the Country. Her dad had this car for a very long time. So we are heading home (she drove to and from) and she comes up on a turn going way too fast (probably 50 mph; should've been going about 25 - 30mph); I saw what was coming way before it actually happened (actually about 3 seconds). As soon as I told her to slow down we were starting around the turn going too fast. This is a a very heavily traveled road and there was lots of oncoming traffic (it was a right hand turn). So we proceeded to go over the yellow line with tires screeching; missed the first car; she then over compensated with turning the car and we started completely fish tailing in the other lane!.....went fender to fender w/ a Toyota Camry, bounced off of that car and hit a guard rail. When it was said and done the car needed a front clip. She started crying - freaking out and believe it or not (we all do stupid things for pretty girls when were young & old for that matter), I actually swichted places in the car w/ her and took the rap. Anyway, just thought you guys might enjoy reading about another Pontiac story. BTW, it was worth taking the rap .
