Greetings friends I need some help on what is and is not correct on the 67 dual gate console and shifter. First of all the simple one. Is the mounting base of the dual gate supposed to also be painted black, or left bare metal color?
Now about the cosole. I see many that have a lid where the rear of the lid is higher on one side than the other said? But, in front is is even? Something wrong here, or is this the way they built them? Also, on one side under the lid is a piece of steel mounted together with one of the hing screws. It seems to have no spring to it so what's it for? Also, when you turn a console over so it's up side down. If one said is bowed out more than the iother, is this just normal production ? Or, is it maybe made that way because it fits under the other seat better? Is the flocking inside the console compartment kind of a light gray/blue? Thanks, and good day friends. Mike
