First off, I don't phone companies in the States because(a),we're 6-8 hours in front/or behind in time, and(b) I have a strong Welsh accent and find communications by phone challenging to say the least!
JeffV, freight costs can easily double the original cost of the parts sent to the UK,especially on heavy(read crank) parts. Hence I get my parts sent to my mate in Oklahoma who then gets the cheapest shipping and sends them as used parts to save me on the import taxes etc.
One of the reasons I use Summit a lot is 'cos they ship free in the States. And I can tell you I've spent a LOT with them over the years. It costs double to build a car over here compared to what you would pay ,and I'm not a chequebook racer,so I don't need to be told not to be concerned about money.
RobC, I apologise for my rant, I thought I was being given the runaround,I should have realised you were busy. I'm sure we can do business soon. Taff.
